Meet Chris Palmquist

A Pacific Northwest native with a lifelong passion for fishing and a wealth of experience spanning over 50 years. For 12 years, Chris owned and operated the esteemed Pacific NW Guide Service, where he honed his expertise navigating the waters of the Columbia River and its tributaries. Specializing in Salmon, Steelhead, and Sturgeon, Chris’s dedication to providing unforgettable fishing experiences extended to the vast expanse of the Pacific Ocean, where he pursued Salmon, Halibut, Bottom Fish, and Albacore Tuna.

Alongside his wife, Chris ventured into entrepreneurship, owning and managing their own tackle store. This venture became a hub for anglers seeking Northwest-specific gear, local techniques, and up-to-date fishing reports. The store embodied Chris’s commitment to delivering tailored solutions for the unique challenges of fishing in the Pacific Northwest.

Now, at the helm of Pacific NW Tackle Company, Chris brings decades of hands-on experience to a wider audience. His mission is to share the wealth of knowledge acquired over years of guiding, fishing, and serving the angling community.
